Nadilyn was born and raised in the province of Pangasinan, Philippines and speaks the Filipino language. She obtained her Juris Doctor degree from San Beda University, and has been a member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines since after passing the 2000 Philippine Bar Examinations. After migrating to Canada, she went through the National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) of the Federation of Law Societies of Canada, successfully challenged exams given by the NCA and was granted a Certificate of Equivalency for Bachelor of Laws. She thereafter conquered the Bar Admission Course of Ontario and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2007. She has been practicing law in the last 19 years in the areas of Family Law, Immigration, Wills and Powers of Attorney, and Estate Administration. For several years now, she has also been a law professor of Algonquin College in its Paralegal and Law Clerk Program. Nadilyn is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Carleton County Law Association, and the Canadian Bar Association.

In addition to her legal practice, Nadilyn is active in both the legal and local communities. Before moving to Ottawa in 2019, she served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Women’s Enterprise Skills Training of Windsor from 2008 -2018. 

She has great love for her Filipino community and during the time she was in Windsor, Ontario, she had always made herself available for the Windsor Filipino Community Centre as speaker on Information sessions for Filipino migrant workers. When she moved to Ottawa, she was impressed with the mandate and purpose of the Philippine Centre Canada (PCC) and decided to get involved with the organization and joined its Board of Directors. She has volunteered as speaker in PCC’s information sessions on Wills and Powers of Attorney. Furthering her connections with Filipinos, she is also a part of  the Filipino Canadian Lawyers Network and she enjoys meeting lawyers here in Canada with Filipino roots.  She occasionally guests at Tinig Pinoy Radio to share legal information in line with her practice areas that our kababayans are interested in.

In 2025, Nadilyn joined Dementia Justice Canada advocating for fair treatment and legal protection of people living with dementia. She is one of the senior advocates in Ottawa fighting for the rights of seniors and assisting and guiding the caregivers of seniors to act in the latter’s best interest.

Outside her professional and civic activities, Nadilyn spends time with her husband Renato and two children, Charles and Henry, either biking, playing pickleball, going on trips or just cooking the family’s favorite dishes.
